Gabriel’s Den / Children’s Church: 11 years old and under
 

The purpose of this ministry is to minister the Word of God to Gabriel’s Den known as the Pre-K/Kindergarten to fifth-grade children of the church; thus equipping them to become children of purpose and power.

Just as Jesus was concerned with children, so are we at the T.O.P. At the T.O.P. children are welcomed and trained in the truths of the Bible. We are developing children to know Christ as Saviour and to become faithful disciples.

In Gabriel’s Den, the children receive salvation through faithful, committed, and caring teachers who are ready to deliver the Word through powerful objective lessons, memory verses, storytelling, bible lessons, learning and locating the books of the Bible, games, and illustrated sermons to your children.

Age divisions are as follows:
-Noah’s Ark 2 years to 5 years
-Abraham’s Stars 6 years to 8 years
-Joshua’s Troop 9 years to 11 years

 

Teenagers are trained and allowed to assist in working in Children’s Church because it is our goal to make Sunday morning the best two hours of every child’s week who comes through the doors of the church. They learn to serve as awesome Praise Leaders, Praise Dancers, Ushers, Greeters, and the Little TOP’s of Praise Choir. Children must know that God loves and cares for them and that there is a place specifically for them in the body of Christ.

 

 The Youth Ministry: 12 years to 17 years
The primary purpose of the Youth Ministry at Tabernacle of Praise is to promote the spiritual welfare of 12 to 17-year-old disciples. Efforts have been focused on strengthening them in the faith, having a life of prayer, learning more about each other, and growing socially, morally, and intellectually in the body of Christ. Our goal is to build a strong community of teens who will become actively involved in the church both locally, and nationally. Our young teens grow deep roots in Jesus and each other where it is safe to be themselves while experiencing good, wholesome fun as they learn to integrate their faith into all aspects of their lives.

Activities Include:

• The Youth Encounter: teens meet twice a month for training, fun, and bible study.
• Participation in community service activities
• Church School Fellowship Group
• Sharing Group Recreation Nights
• Church Fund Raising Efforts
• Dance group studies and performances
• Mime Ministry
• Drama participation

 

 

The Young Adult Ministry: 18 years to 35 years
The young adult ministry of the Tabernacle of Praise equips young adults to declare, communicate, and demonstrate the purpose, power, precepts, and principles of the Kingdom of God. The Young Adult Ministry is led by the Holy Spirit and seeks to provide spiritual nourishment, inspiration and guidance to adults ages 18 to 35. This group is comprised of college students, young professionals, single adults, and married couples of the church with or without children. Our goal is to build these disciples in the area of strong biblical teaching, pursuits of education, community service, and understanding 21st-century finance. This ministry is encouraged to employ proper spiritual and moral principles to empower them to live as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Sought out to be leaders in the ministry, our young adults have engaged in spiritual opportunities to showcase their gifts and talents for the Lord and his people. The Young Adult Assembly intimately called “Throw Down Thursday"  has been developed as a nontraditional bible study and fellowship each Thursday Night at 6:30 p.m. This group also hosts events throughout the year for the entire church. “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” (I Timothy 4:12).
